The Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) and PLC Technology signed an agreement at the Electrical Networks International Forum on December 4

At the Electrical Networks International Forum (on December 4), the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) and PLC Technology signed an agreement on PLC Technology joining the consortium to implement the program on technologies for transporting electricity and smart distributed power systems by the National Technological Initiative.

The subject matter of the agreement consist in the development, design, and implementation of smart city technologies, and the development of solutions for integrating the power sector participants into a unified national platform as part of the transition to a digital economy.

The agreement is evidence of the coordinated activities being carried out for the development of smart systems for network management.

Within the scope of the center's program, the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) and PLC Technology will develop algorithms for smart network management and technologies for their implementation. The developed algorithms and technologies will be implemented on the basis of the TOPAZ software and hardware system — a PLC Technology product.
Implementation of a pilot project is planned on the basis of MPEI's EnergoCampus.
PLC Technology LLC is working in collaboration with MPEI to plan preparations for creating scientific and training stands and learning guides for students, and to obtain joint patents for the developed products.
The agreement was signed at PJSC Rosseti's stand by MPEI Rector Nikolay D. Rogalev, and Director General of PLC Technology, Ilya V. Krutskikh.
