The substation comprises a process control system and data acquisition and transmission system based on a TOPAZ software and hardware system. The latter consists of: power unit cabinets, process control system cabinets, data acquisition and transmission system cabinets and remote terminal unit modules, operating staff automated workplaces (AWS), process control engineer's AWS, process control engineer's portable AWS.
The process control system comprises fully integrated relay protection and automatic equipment terminals, process protection, DC board and local distribution board equipment for full-scale monitoring of the substation by operating staff.
The IEC 61850-8-1 MMS protocol is used to query the Belorusskaya substation equipment.
