ENGINEERING SYSTEM AUTOMATION

The equipment for real-time engineering system monitoring and control is designed for switching to remote diagnostics of equipment for fire alarm and power site engineering systems. The equipment used in the TOPAZ System of

Centralized Monitoring of Engineering Systems is designed for the following purposes:

  • online diagnostics of parameter changes in engineering systems under control;
  • prevention of equipment failures;
  • faster technical service response to emergencies;
  • fire detection at an early stage;
  • issuing fire alerts to a 24-hour service and sending messages to servers at the network control center;
  • automatic control of the system's own operability and sending alerts in case of failures;
  • possibility of system control from the dispatcher's automatic workplace;
  • control of physical fire alarm signals on the respective mnemonic diagrams on panels and at the dispatcher's workplace;
  • control (handshake) signals of the fire alarm system on the respective mnemonic diagrams on panels and at the dispatcher's workplace;
  • display of software-generated values on mnemonic diagrams next to the respective nodes, in charts and tables.
The System of Centralized Monitoring of Engineering Systems performs the following functions:
  • оnline diagnostics of parameter changes in systems under control;
  • preventing emergencies from escalating;
  • faster technical service response to emergencies;
  • fewer trips by maintenance crews for diagnostics of systems under control;
  • no need to monitor statuses of fire alarm and engineering systems by duty personnel.
Key functions of TOPAZ software and hardware system for the System of Centralized Monitoring of Engineering Systems:
  • creating and maintaining the structure of sites;
  • event and alarm processing for determining, creating, and recording alarms and events;
  • managing user access rights and control system authentication;
  • time synchronization between various nodes (PC and controllers) across the entire system;
  • multiuser distributed design of applications that supports the development of several parts of a single software application in different geographical regions;
  • integration of several systems to create larger systems, consolidation of links between systems and facilitation of step-by-step installation and commissioning;
  • the TOPAZ software and hardware system makes it possible to create alerts with respect to analog signal changes using software tools based on IEC 61131 that are included in the TOPAZ software and hardware system. The system can also respond to an alert by providing users with the required information to analyze the current process.
  • information analysis;
  • visualization of monitored physical signals from engineering systems and control signals by engineering systems on the respective mnemonic diagrams;
  • display of software-generated values on mnemonic diagrams next to the respective nodes, in charts and tables;
  • data storage in the form of current, 5-minute, hourly, and daily archives;
  • setting up archiving functions for each signal;
  • processing, systematization, and storage of data, report creation.
